Calne Town FC was established in 1886 and joined the Western Football League Division One in 1986 . They earned promotion to the Premier Division with a runner-up effort in 1992-93, but returned to Division One after a last-place finish in 1998-99. Calne Town FC returned to the Western Football League Premier Division in 2005 and also became the first first division team to reach the Les Phillips Cup final.
